Today the horses had their last gallop and all the horses felt great! Chloe then spent a good while getting clean, the fun part of having a white horse (NOT!) She enjoyed it about as much as I did. I rode my other horse AO who I am sad to be away from for the next two weeks. She got an extra few carrots today :) I packed the rest of my many unnecessary objects that I am insisting on taking. I get nervous and I just keep packing! We left for LA today at around two. The drive went relatively quickly and I always think its a success when we get to eat at Jack In the Box! We pulled up to the barn and were greeted by my other team member Natalia. The horses settled in quickly and Chloe looked perfectly happy; rolling a couple times, drinking water, and happily eating her grain. The first leg of the trip is completed!
Tomorrow Chloe will have an easy day. She will get walked a lot and continue to get cleaned up and ready for Sunday when we fly to the horse park! Im sure I will think of more things to pack. You know when you go on vacation there is always that one person who packs way to much, Im definitely going to be THAT person.
Everyone keeps asking if I am excited and I cant put it into words how awesome all of this is! I promise as this goes on I will have more exciting things to say and report on! I will start posting pictures tomorrow! Hopefully Chloe will be clean!

The Countdown Begins!
Hey everyone!
I created this blog to keep all of you posted on Chloe's and my journey to the North American Junior Young Rider Championships aka NAJYRC. This year the championships are being held in Lexington, Kentucky. The same horse park that the World Equestrian Games will be held! I am competing for Area VI which is comprised of California and Hawaii. We are taking two riders for the two star team: Me on Copycat Chloe (chloe) and Natalia Gurmankin on her horse Teqs. For the one star team we are taking Madison Reeb on her horse Raquel and Kelly Loria on her horse Lucy.
This last week has been a very busy one. Packing, packing, packing and packing to sum it all up! My dad headed out today with our dogs. He is driving the truck and trailer back there filled to the brim with all of our young rider "stuff", hay, tack etc. Tomorrow we will all ride our dressage tests one last time for the coach, who is conveniently my mother. Friday morning the horses have there last gallop and that afternoon we are off to L.A. The horses will stay there two nights having Saturday as a rest day and Sunday morning we will be flying to the horse park. And when I say "we" that is including the horses. I am so excited!!!!! I have never flown a horse and what is even more exciting is Natalia and I get to fly with our horses. I think I have been so busy this past month I have not really taken the time to get excited. But now I have let it sink in and I am ready to be there!
Anyways, I will be periodically updating this with pictures, results, the days summary etc. I hope you enjoy!!
